Identity Production in a Networked Culture.

I read a really interesting report about MySpace the other day, and thought I would share it with you. It essentially explains why MySpace is as popular as it is. While its a scholarly piece. Its really interesting. I highly recommend reading.

Essentially it is saying that teens strive to have their own private spaces, and MySpace becomes one of those places. The problem is, it overlaps with an adult space. So… Essentially, that’s where the problem lies. The article does talk about the “myspace stalking” and provides a couple interesting points. Check it out.

Seriously… One of the most interesting (and probably true) things I’ve read in a while.
